To get the correct script extender, get SKSE64 from SilverLock itself and install manually by unpacking the 7z file and drag 'n' dropping the contents into your SSE main install directory (where the Data folder and regular launch exes are situated). Throw out every file you copied from Skyrim to SSE because they can never work. The SKSE and SKSE64 are two different animals as are Skyrim and Skyrim SE, since Skyrim is 32-bits and Skyrim SE is 64-bits. The files i moved from my skyrim folder to my skyrim special edition folder are: skse_1_9_32.dll, skse_loader, skse_steam_boot, skse_steam_loader.dll.Īlso, I downloaded a launcher mod for SKSE here on Nexus and it launched the game but I got a popup from SKY UI that said SKSE was NOT installed- if that helps.Īny assistance in either finding a way to re-install SKSE or which- if any files- i'm missing would be much appreciated! I assume I must be missing a file somewhere but unfortunately I haven't found any way to RE-download SKSE and google has not helped me. I tried moving the SKSE files to my Skyrim Special Edition folder and again, it wont launch from there. It says SKSE is in my library, but again, It wont launch from there. Now I do, and I tried to launch SKSE through steam and it kept re-directing me to the Skyrim page (NOT Skyrim Special Edition). I never used SKSE because I didn't have any mods that required it. A while back I downloaded the Skyrim Script Extender through the steam client and the files went to my Skyrim folder, not my Skyrim Special Edition folder. So, I have Skyrim Special Edition through steam.
